Welcome!

Welcome! I hope you are all using your Blogs and maybe even started creating a Webquest. It would be nice to see what everyone is doing in their classrooms and how students are responding. We can all learn from each other!

I thought this Blog would be a great way for us to keep each other informed about new technology. If you would like to collaborate, I can add you as one of this Blog’s authors.

A cool tool (that’s not so new anymore) that I mentioned at the PD is from Voki, which allows you to create animated avatars. You can send them to others or embed them in your blog. Students love them and it’s free and easy to use. Register using an e-mail account and have fun…the possibilities are endless!

Here’s one that I just made:

Get a Voki now!

I just found out about Voki when I did the 23 Things for the second time. You can record your own voice if you want. (No creepy voice) They also have different dialects and such if you don't want to use your own voice. I made a personal one for each class when I was out a couple of weeks ago.

I love the Voki's! Students love them too! I don't like the sound of my own voice so I am cool with using theirs :)
